  • Speaker Notes

    • Welcome back to the CoderCorgi podcast! I'm your host CoderCorgi, and today it's just me.

    • My mission for this podcast is in just a few minutes, leave you feeling inspired. The feeling of not just learning, but internalizing, that deep satisfaction of CANI.

    • This podcast has been about getting people into an inspired state and capturing that essence. I created it from myself being in a slump, a feeling of lostness — and wanted listening to it to be a salve or an antidote for any listeners and myself.

    • Today's topic: Momentum

      • Running through walls — a company's value

        • felt burnt out, running into the wall multiple times — you'll just denting the wall, and eventually you're so tired the wall doesn't even get a dent — the wall's denting me!

          • I could feel dented, broken, traumatized, burnt out, like ragequitting, questioning my self-worth, do I belong.

      • Pool or billiard balls — bounce off walls — todo: resilience & adaptability

        • covers more ground! life → gets more experience

        • The Obstacle Is The Way — it's like we're being issued a quest, on our hero's journey!

        • so how do we make what's in the way on the way?

      • There's this story, where a father with a business empire passes

        • and his lawyer says to claim this inheritance, you have to go to a place

        • and going to that place he's led to another place, until two years has passed, he's traveled across hundreds of countries, med thousands of people, tented in harsh rains, climbed mountains, braved deserts and raging rivers and jungles.

        • and he comes back and goes to the lawyer saying I went to all the places, I've come back to claim my inheritance

          • and the lawyer said your inheritance is the journey

          • your inheritance is the experiences and the person you've become through that journey

        • and now you're ready to lead this business empire

      • Samadhi (the Pathless Path) documentary

        • the path that exists beyond Thought, beyond Self

      • 's unrelated book The Pathless Path

        • leaving conventional careers and finding the work that matters to you

      • Creating your own path — lots of turns, the path is full of squiggles

        • So for these turns on the path of our lives, not on a detour, we're on the path!

    • Song

      • Avicii's "The Nights" — beautiful song

      • "live a life you will remember"

Disclaimer: I made this podcast for myself, approaching it with intentionally minimal prep, no editing, just record-and-upload — to capture spontaneity and inspiration of the moment, distill the pure fun of podcasting without any extra effort -- /effort/ would make it /work/ ;).
